Ford has propelled the refreshed 2019 five-situate Edge Triangle SUV. The SUV exhibited a face-lifted model with a disentangled powertrain option and a new high-performance ST version replacing the Sport model. This hits the dealer in the summer of 2018.
2019 Ford Edge Exterior
This is the principal cosmetic touch up for Edge since it changes to the present stage from a skeleton outlined by Mazda for the 2015 model. The 2019 Ford Edge conveys a lightweight re-try, with new headlights, guards and taillights; look after bumpers, rooftops and entryway boards from past models.
The ST model gets a different color scheme, with dark trim, grille and side sills. The grid itself also has a hexagonal pattern that is intended to be more sporty than the body color units in other Edge trims (SE, SEL, Titanium). There are four choices of new wheels and colors, with Performance Blue being exclusive to ST.
2019 Ford Edge Interior
The 2019 Ford Edge conveys no change from 2018, except for updates to the inside support shifter. Changing to another electronically controlled eight-speed programmed transmission will see another rotational shifter mounted on the support, much the same as in the bigger Explorer.
Dimensions, the interior does not change, like the ingredients. The ST model gets several more reinforced seats and a unique leather pattern with silver seat stitches, along with different sill plates, unique measuring clusters and ST-branded steering. New options include a 12-speaker B & O Play premium audio system by Bang & Olufsen, wireless Qi wireless battery charging and remote start. FordPass Connect’s multimedia connectivity system with Wi-Fi will become the standard, enabling connections of up to 10 wireless personal electronic devices, and enabling communication with smartphones through the FordPass application. The sync application link will also enable Amazon Alexa home connectivity in the vehicle.
2019 Ford Edge Engine
The standard motor for the new Edge is a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-chamber creating 250 solid pull and 275 pound-feet of torque. This is mated to a standard eight-speed programmed transmission, which is new to 2019. The front wheel drive is standard, with discretionary all-wheel drive.
The ST features a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 found in Fusion Sport, but it makes a little more power here – 335 hp and 380 pound-feet of torque. It is also mated to an eight-speed automatic, but the transmission gets a special tone and a different gear ratio. Both powertrains get rotating shifters, and the ST also features a Sport mode that changes the shift pattern, throttle mapping and cluster-instrument display while also adjusting the piped-in exhaust tone.
Wheel sizes range from 18 inches on a low edge to an optional 21-inch summer tire on ST. An optional performance e-brake package with ventilated rear rotors and red painted calipers is optional on the ST as well.
2019 Ford Edge Security
Ford is increasing its security game on Edge 2019 by creating many electronic security equipment standards. These include front collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keep assist, post-collision automatic braking and LED high-beam automatic headlamps. with unpredictable and path focusing capacities.
