2019 Ford Escape

Ford is a giant in the utility truck and vehicle market, a fact confirmed by the evergreen success of Escape compact crossover. Although it’s not the most popular small utility in Canada, it’s hot on the heels of Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, a fact that has caused Ford to leave pretty well for 2019.

With no significant change, 2019 Ford Escape carries more than three engine options and two drive systems. The entry-level S trim is the only one that uses a decade-old 2.5L four-cylinder engine that makes 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Better performance comes in the form of 1.5L and 2.0L turbocharged four cylinders which make 179 hp / 177 lb-ft and 245 hp / 275 lb-ft, respectively.

S trim only in FWD : SE and SEL start as front-drivers and can be selected for AWD with turbo engines : and Titanium comes exclusively with 2.0L and AWD.

2019 Ford Escape is a smooth player and offers sharper handling than most of its competitors thanks to designs from Ford engineers in Europe, but the disadvantage is that the interior is more comfortable compared to Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. And if you plan to use a lot of back seats, keep in mind the low-padded back seat to the floor and not offer much support under the thighs.

S trim comes with a relatively lightweight list of standard kits. There is air conditioning, height adjustable driver seat, six-speaker sound system with Infotainment Sync system, power window, automatic headlamps, 17-inch steel wheels with cover and keyless entry.

SE added a 10-way power driver seat, heated front seat, dual zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, fog lights, chrome exterior trim, keyless entry keypad and 17 inches aluminum wheels. SEL carries a seat covered with leather, power tailgate, steering wheel fitted with leather and a backup sensing system.

Finally, the Titanium model has advanced proximity sensors, 18-inch wheels, 10-speaker stereo, Synchronization 3, navigation, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 110 volt electrical outlet, passive keyless entry, heated steering wheel, cargo and hand privacy cover tailgate free.

2019 Ford Escape – Engine

2018 Ford Escape fuel consumption is 10.2 / 7.8 L / 100 km (city / highway) with 1.5L and FWD engines; 10.7 / 8.3 for 1.5L AWD combos; and 11.5 / 8.8 when installed with 2.0L and AWD. We hope 2019 Ford Escape rating will be almost the same.
