Ford Ranger to be produced is an intermediate pickup vehicle that resembles the version offered overseas, with a rough look that not only mimics the larger F-150. Ford says the vehicle’s powertrain and chassis is tailored to North American buyers. Three variants will be offered: XL, XLT and Lariat, with a choice of SuperCab or SuperCrew style.
2019 Ford Ranger Price & Release Date
Ford Ranger 2019 will begin production by the end of 2018. At this point, it is unclear whether it will produce a release date before the end of this year or early 2019. Official prices are still far away. For reference, the current F-150 Ranger starts at $ 28,675 including the destination for regular 4×2 XL Cab levels.
Ford is likely to face the challenge of making the Ranger affordable in relation to the F-150. Given that rebates often make F-150 an exciting prospect in a segment that often offers valuable transactions up to $ 10,000, it will be interesting to see how the car maker chose to reposition the Ranger.
2019 Ford Ranger Exterior
Ford Ranger 2019, with an expected release date as early as 2019, is built to maximize strength. It features a high-strength steel frame and front and rear bumpers, and is inserted through the same rigorous testing as the Ford F-150. On the front, grille and scratched front winds give Ranger an aggressive look, while improving aerodynamic performance. The back has a Ranger name plate, and if you have a crane requirement, you can get an integrated trailer hitch.
Ability will be a strong selling point, with an optional Off-Road FX4 Package that enhances ground clearance, slip plates, more aggressive tires and field management systems adapted from F-150 Raptor. A new mode called Trace Control will act like a shipping control form for low speed maneuvers over a rough terrain.
2019 Ford Ranger Interior
Inside the cabin, Ford Ranger 2019 offers a high level of comfort and space for up to five people, as well as plenty of cargo space. On the tech front, it will be equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an easy-to-use SYNC 3 infotainment system, and connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as Amazon Alexa. Other interior details have not been announced in full.
2019 Ford Ranger Performance
Under the hood, Ford Ranger 2019 is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, which has a direct injection system and a twin-scroll turbocharger for optimum performance and efficiency. The engine is mated to a 10-speed transmission. If you want to get through the beaten path, you can get an optional Off-Road Package, equipped with a Medan Management System, all-terrain tires and off-road-tuned shocks.
2019 Ford Ranger Engine
Abroad, Ford Ranger 2019 is offered with a choice of diesel engines, a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder rated at 158 hp with 284 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.2 liter 5 cylinder making 197 hp with 346 lb-ft. There is no indication that US buyers will get a similar option, although Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon already offer this capability.
Safety will be the area where Ford Ranger sees great progress from the previous iteration. 2019 Ford Ranger will offer the latest driver assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, lane maintenance system, and adaptive cruise control. There will also be a functioning blind spot warning system even when transporting a trailer.
